Talk about a “Grand Slam.”
In what is clearly the biggest match-made-in-heaven ever, Sprint Cup Series star and Sunday’s STP 500 winner at Martinsville Speedway, Denny Hamlin, has teamed up with Denny’s Restaurants for the very appropriately named partnership, “Denny’s Denny’s.”
“Back when I was racing late models, we used to eat at a Denny’s in Virginia every Saturday night,” Hamlin said in a release. “My mom still remembers the name of the waitress. Denny’s has been a big part of my family through the years, so I’m really excited about this partnership.”
Since Hamlin loves Denny’s so much, “Denny’s Denny’s” was built exclusively for him to ensure he has his favorite diner wherever he goes. The mobile “Denny’s Denny’s,” which features an authentic Denny’s booth, Hamlin’s famous fork collection and syrup gas tanks, will join him on the road at Texas Motor Speedway (April 11), Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 24) and Daytona International Speedway (July 5). “Denny’s Denny’s” will also make a pit stop at the Short Track Showdown at South Boston Speedway on April 23, where an all-star cast of NASCAR and late-model drivers will compete to raise funds for the Denny Hamlin Foundation to benefit Cystic Fibrosis research.
Fans will have the chance to visit Hamlin’s custom “Denny’s Denny’s” as it travels with him track, along with a “Denny’s Denny’s” sweepstakes, video content and “boothies” (a selfie in a booth, of course) will fuel fan’s excitement throughout NASCAR season. Fans can stop by “Denny’s Denny’s” during the races where Hamlin will appear at select times to hand out signed autographs and various giveaways.
